Lichfield City FC currently has 23 teams from under 7's through to openage who play in the Lichfield District, Tamworth Junior, Burton Junior, Burton & District FA, and Midland Combination leagues.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Committee, Coaches and all those associated with Lichfield City FC will ensure that all the players enjoy their association with the club by providing a safe enjoyable environment during training & competitive games; developing trust between Coaches, Players, Parents & Guardians in support of the players; encouraging individual levels of skill & behaviour within the team environment; and instilling the philosophy of individual development & enjoyment, above the importance of results in competitive games.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
